Vontae Davis first met his future wife at the K Street Lounge in Washington DC, all the way back in 2010. Harpe Believes Her Husband Struggled With CTE For Years

While Vontae Davis’ career on the field was highly impressive, it was largely overshadowed by his bizarre and unprecedented retirement. Davis walked off the field at halftime during the second game of the season in 2018, stating simply that he was “done.” The incredibly abrupt retirement came shortly after he had signed a contract to play for an additional year, though the cornerback claimed he had undergone an out-of-body experience which cemented his decision.
