'A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms' Season 1 Finale Makes Huge Change From Source Material In Post-Credits Scene

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms , the hot new Game of Thrones series at HBO , brought its first season to a close on Sunday night. Season 1’s penultimate episode ended with the tragic death of Prince Baelor “Breakspear” Targaryen (Bertie Carvel), heir to the throne, leaving everyone at Ashford Meadow gagged in the finale, which is Episode 6. Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall (Peter Claffey) was even planning to serve Baelor after he was triumphant in the trial Prince Maekar Targaryen (Sam Spruell) is trying to figure out how to move his family forward after his son Prince Aerion Targaryen’s (Finn Bennett) actions pretty much led them to this moment (or we can argue that Egg pretending to be a squire led to this). Though his brother has died from this Trial of the Seven, Maekar has a proposition for Dunk: let Prince Aegon V “Egg” Targaryen (Dexter Sol Ansell) be his squire…but there’s a twist.
