America’s Next Top Model hasn’t been looked on too kindly in recent years. But now, iconic model and host Tyra Banks and the cast are addressing it all in the new trailer for Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model.
The upcoming Netflix documentary series shows that Banks and the cast, including Jay Manuel, J. Alexander and Nigel Barker, open up about the highs and very distinct lows of the genre-defining reality competition series.
Yes, this includes the “ethnicity switch” photo shoot episodes, Banks’ “We were all rooting for you!” crash-out, and putting contestants under the knife just to possibly be eliminated from the competition the next day. Also, to make things even juicier, former contestants, including the subject of Banks’ crash-out, Tiffany Richardson, are on hand to talk about their experiences.
The trailer is bound to get people talking, especially Banks seeming to blame the audience for the show becoming wilder and more offensive. You can make your own opinions after watching the trailer, which you can view below.

‘Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model’ premiere date

Here’s the official description:
Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model is the definitive, must-watch chronicle of America’s Next Top Model — and the chaos in front and behind the camera. From EverWonder Studio, Wise Child Studios, and directors Mor Loushy and Daniel Sivan (American Manhunt: Osama Bin Laden) this three-part documentary series features unprecedented access to former contestants, judges, and producers. Reality Check exposes the show’s complicated legacy and asks a provocative question: how far are we willing to go for entertainment?
